A short discussion on a few nuisance but necessary questions about Baloch national freedom struggle

To make the Baloch national struggle unsuccessful its opponents are using helicopters, tanks, chemical bombs, jets and provoking propagandas against it trying to show the Baloch national struggle’s image ineffective and insufficient. The symbols of such people are they raise one or two or sometimes many questions in different occasions trying to bring up the topic so that they could simultaneously show their sympathy for the Baloch nation and present these facts as meaningless, in the end they sigh expressing victory is hard to achieve till Baloch nation lacks unity. Whereas everyone is aware of the necessity of greater unity in any nation for its national freedom struggle. This particular specialty (unity) offer it national freedom from its (the nation’s) separatist ideology. As such people mean to spread disappointment, they appear sympathetically and attack like a snake in the sleeves.

The questions are as follows:
1. Lack of unity in Baloch.
2. There was a time these pro-independents were in power they failed to achieve any development.
3. After achieving its freedom, Baloch shall become a victim of civil war.
4. Once a free country Balochistan shall be occupied by the US and the West.
5. The majority in Balochistan are not pro-independence.
6. With starting the armed struggle Baloch has lost support among other pro-development powers in Pakistan.
7. Lack of leadership among Baloch.
8. Lack of any major body on the surface.
9. First priority education and development, the freedom issue be discussed later on.
10.‘Provincial autonomy’ and ‘right of self- determination’ prior to any demand of freedom.

1. The reality of unity or disunity among Baloch:

As far as the question of unity in Balochistan is concerned, every religion in this world including Islam, Christianity, Hinduism etc. lack unity. There are many sects in every religion but no one states to pause all religious practices till they are united. Most of them believe in one god and one messenger then what is the reason of the mosques, interpretations etc. being separate and sometimes they would not hesitate to call each other infidels.

No nation or country in this world agree on a single thought among itself (except its freedom).

Second point is that if Baloch is not united it does not certify Pakistan and Iran to come across the border (Balochistan) in order to punish the Baloch on their disunity.

No power in the world can interfere in any country’s or nation’s internal affairs and recommend its slavery. Baloch nation is a believer of one religion. There are nations in the world who believe in two or more religions but no one punishes them for this disunity so why shall Baloch not be let to demand its freedom just because of its disunity.

In current situation, Baloch is much united than the other nations in the neighborhood. If Baloch would not be a victim of terrorism and state conspiracies it would have been called the most organized and clear aim keeping nation. Question arises if Baloch nation lacks unity then why is the government locking up thousands of Balochs in jail and selectively kill others? Despite of this barbarism, the pro-independence are increasing in a massive amount of number whereas on the other hand government has unlocked the doors of its treasure to employ people against them but still no one is there to defend their (government) stand. People who are involved in the government and at some point are the pet animals of them, confess that Balochistan has suffered from center’s oppression. In hidden they support the military operation and all this violence is according to their will but due to the fear of public opinion they oppose their own acts. This means the pro-independents are very united convincing the entire society to speak in their favor whereas the people in power feel their selves alone and in fear.

The leaders of such government representative groups can not paste their posters without getting paid. If a number of 8000 people relating them are jailed or disappeared so the idea of struggle is far from thoughts they would not even be able to give any statements. Despite being killed and disappeared in thousands the pro-independents stand like a dead end in front of the people in power driving off their sleep.

The fact cannot be denied these pro-parliaments joining pro-independence could strength their power. Similarly one cannot deny the fact of current Baloch national struggle making the stand of these pro-parliaments very ineffective. Today they are hiding behind the enemy and are involved in all the disgusting conspiracies but still they do not succeed in the state. Pro-parliaments are the only power left with the government which are being used to break the strong unity among Baloch. But situation in Balochistan show these educated “Bangaan” cannot harm the unity of the pro-independents. The strength of unity and the will of sacrifices among these pro-independence is on an undefeatable level. Such people cannot be bought nor be threatened resulting in their killing and disappearance. If these people were on sale the government would price them rather killing them.

Those people (specially Baloch) who point out the lack of unity or unanimity in Baloch should just join those elements which are involved directly, in one way or another, playing active role in the struggle. They should not order for unity by standing on a distance in fact they should join this struggle which has let Islamabad get fed up after using its entire force.

As far as enemies and non Baloch claim the need of unity and unanimity in Baloch, it is meaningless. If Baloch nation halt its freedom movement for National Party, Jamhoori Watan Party, BNP Mengal and stand on the agenda of achieving complete unity and then raising the freedom slogan, then another demand shall pop up I.e. Israr Baloch, Jan Jamali, Nawab Magsi and Jaam Yousuf are Baloch too therefore till they don’t join us we shall not work on the freedom movement. Sometimes these people come to a point saying if Baloch nation is united then why it did not succeed yet. A very nice question though and the answer is simple too, Baloch nation did not succeed yet because people like them are still out of this struggle, the day these people reject demanding and join the field all doors to success shall open to Baloch. These people stay lazy and demand the pro-independents for good so that they could easily start earning or if this struggle is disturbing their business. These people are well educated hypocrites because they know it very well freedom struggles may take centuries to accomplish their aim so such people try to show the delay in independence as a failure in other words they represent the enemy.

Such gentlemen rather than making such demands to the pro-independence, better state in clear words that they are never a part of any independence movement, their paths and goals are separate.

2. The question of pro-independence once being in power:
Baloch intellectuals and politicians have discussed and expressed their views in all the above mentioned points. In answer to the question ‘once they (pro-independence) were in power so why didn’t they develop the province?’ Some friends reply Baloch nationalist had a very small and limited period of time in power, this is the answer to the question by those nationalists leaders themselves, hence they never gave up obedience!

Here an interesting fact is whenever Islamabad or Pakistanis ask this question they mean Sardar Ataullah Mengal, Nawab Akbar Bugti, Jaam Yousuf and Jaan Jamali come in the same category Baloch whereas Baloch never count them the same. It is a bitter truth that Jaan Jamali and Jaam Yousuf are Baloch and Islamabad usually represents them as Baloch advocates but ordinary Baloch resembles them as rubber shoe that fit in any ruler foot coming in power in Islamabad.

People living in other parts of Pakistan or the world who are interested in this country’s politics are having misunderstandings about Baloch and Balochistan issue due to these misguiding propagandas. Whereas if these people just come to know a single reality they would never ask this question I.e. in Balochistan there is no election but selection. Time has come Baloch leadership should confess that any Baloch leader came in power, in a way or another, had the willingness of the agencies or these agencies in order to change the faces for a short period in helplessness did tolerate people like Nawab Akbar Bugti and Attaullah Mengal in power. Later on only those people were selected who were desperate to serve the interests of Islamabad and not Baloch nation. They were Baloch by descent but were the bought servants of Islamabad. One can easily figure out that such cheap priced people were always kept in power so that whenever ordinary Baloch complaint the state had kept them back warded, they were signaled to question their own representatives, who were appointed by the will of Islamabad. These so-called representatives think the real power is not public but the intelligence agencies. As the aim of such people is coming in power, they are convinced to do anything. At some point they quietly stare like spectators in the massacre of Baloch people under the will of Islamabad.

If doubt, anyone giving a close analysis to the statements of Jaam Yousuf and Nawab Raisani regarding the current barbarism in Balochistan and on the other hand killings and genocide of Baloch, could easily come to the conclusion if Nawab Raisani speak against the ongoing barbarism in Balochistan he would not remain on CM’s seat for a single day more. In short, in Balochistan to be in power one has to sign an agreement in advance stating to be a ‘Pakistani’ and not a ‘Baloch’. Now this taunt is not applicable to Baloch because that particular person had willingly approved to be a Pakistani. There is a quote of Nawab Khair Baksh Marri regarding such people; ‘Those who change their nation (Baloch) are actually abusing their selves as bastards”.

With regret one has to confess that all had abused their selves but some people have understood their mistake of willingly adopting an artificial nation being a Pakistani and giving up their thousands of year old history and ancestor identity, and have aimed avoiding such mistakes again. But some others are still tolerating the same abuse for a few privileges and a few other Baloch gentlemen are bearing the updated version of this abuse called parliamentary politics in which they are standing restlessly in queue to take their oath.

3. Once independent, the possibilities of civil war:

The enemies of Baloch consciously spread such kind of rumors that once having a free country, Baloch shall fight among themselves and the tribes shall not tolerate each other. To make these people understand in short, Baloch is not the only nation in the world which is divided in tribes. Entire Africa and all the Arab countries are divided in tribes and many bloody battles have taken place among these tribes but these countries are present as independent countries in the map of the world. So just because of consisting tribal system what is the cause of keeping Baloch slave and the masters themselves be the decision makers.

More importantly, today Baloch nation is struggling for its national identity. In such debating about tribal clashes and battles is meaningless. Suppose if these enemy rumors turn out true that Baloch would fight among them selves (there is no such possibilities) it would not effect those objectives Baloch is fighting for today. A tribe or any group could come to an end but the status of national identity remains stable. In a tribal battle none of their language, history, literature and culture is at risk because the winner and the loser share these equally. Whereas today Baloch living with Iran and Pakistan has its everything on risk.

A necessary point to be noted here, give us liberty and then tribes are our internal issues. Punjabis and Persians cannot prevent Balochs from demanding freedom giving an excuse if Balochs are let alone they shall fight among them selves. There is no big joke and shameful propaganda in the world other than this.

Who were behind preventing us from fighting each other when Pakistan did not came into being and we were not a part of Afghanistan and Iran. In Pakistan or Iran, till the date we have some tribal enmities, non of these countries ever brought it to an end but surely it did hug a tribe in order to provoke the trend of demolishing the other tribe.

4. Once a free country Balochistan shall be occupied by bigger powers:

All those who claim that Balochistan shall be occupied by the US and the West, should realize whether they their selves are not US’ slaves. Leaving behind other points, Today Shamsi Airbase in Balochistan is in US control from which drone attacks are carried out almost every other day shouldering the funeral of Pakistan’s so-called pride of sovereignty. Whether drone attacks are fair or not, it is a different issue. We are discussing Pakistan’s sense of honor, that a country’s parliament opposes drone attacks in a joint session. Drone planes taking off from Pakistan itself and keep attacking the very same country, from what angle is Pakistan able to caution other nations that in her absence the US shall occupy and violate the particular nation’s sovereignty.

Balochistan gets 2 to 5% of its own resources from Pakistan, now how could such a country claim that in her absence any other country shall occupy and exploit their resources?

Spending 82 years in Iran and 62 years in Pakistan, where no single Balochi language school is available and no history about Baloch or Balochistan is taught, cannot claim to be the safeguards of Baloch identity, history and culture. In this regard, once veteran Baloch leader Hayrbyar Marri in answer to a question of a journalist, very impressively said that Pakistan itself is US’ slave and we are slaves of the slaves and according to them (Pakistan’s advocate) if we become US’ slave so the deal is good enough because we would directly be slaves of the master whose slave on the other hand is Pakistan.

Despite the US occupation in Iraq a few days ago when tenders of oil companies were being distributed, most of the tenders fell in favor of Russian and Norwegian companies. This means despite having complete control in Iraq, unlike the occupants of Balochistan, US is not unjust. Balochistan is viewed as ancestors’ treasure by Pakistan and Iran where they plan projects and never keep in mind Baloch interests.

Baloch national identity is at risk and its coasts and resources are being indiscriminately looted by Pakistan and Iran. Therefore, there is no reason for them to show fake sympathy by worrying about Baloch future.

5. The question of pro-independence being in majority in Balochistan:

This particular question between the master and the slave is as old as the history of the relation itself. Non of the occupant states in the world have ever confessed the fact that the majority people of its colony were against the state. In case of being extremely fed-up, in order to brutally silent the voices against the state it threatened, bought or even sometimes directly killed the people.

It is a historical fact pro-independents were always treated worse no matter the demander was an individual or a nation. Other than the disintegration of Soviet Union, all other (slave) nations had to give numerous sacrifices in achieving their independence. Ideal democratic countries like Italy, Spain, Britain and France too did not willingly set free their colonies. When freedom struggle raised in Africa, Latin America and Asia against these countries, till the end time the official statements stated that majority of these countries support the kingdom of the occupants and just a handful people were raising the slogan of freedom. All these countries set free their colonies only when they were not able to keep their position in their colonies.

People in Pakistan might remember the time of the military operations being carried out against Bengalis and the statements being issued stating only a handful of Bengalis were traitors. Today exactly the same words being used about Balochs should not amaze anyone. We have mentioned many times about the pro-independence being in majority and their influence. Government officials can only keep their selves in darkness by rejecting this fact and they cannot effect the influence of the pro-independence.

In reality, to judge the success level of the pro-independence, suppose the government honestly keeping in mind the principles of democracy (which is out of expectations) halt the crack-down process against them allowing them freely carry out their protests, the intensity of public heat would take over the so-called cabinet including the left over wastes of Islamabad in Quetta.

If the government is so sure about the pro-independence not being in majority, it should stop killing and kidnapping political activists letting the world know the reality.

6. The armed struggle being the cause of Baloch losing support among other pro-development powers in Pakistan:

The national decisions are made by the nation itself. Whenever other masses sense their interest in any nation’s struggle, they end supporting the cause. It may be any kind of struggle and the supporters may vary too. In Baloch case, all those who see Baloch national struggle as a pure national freedom struggle and sense its secularism, free from religious craze and caste system, are looking forward to see Balochistan as an ideal democratic country and support it. In such there is no power restricting the other masses in Pakistan to support Baloch national struggle. If Baloch national struggle is viewed from a typical certain view in which Baloch is not allowed to demand freedom, Baloch will definitely not accept the picture tried to be shown. To obstacle or reduce the motion of any struggle many conspiracies or excuses can be planed. Fighting the fifth war, Baloch is well aware to be the only resisting power.

Leaving aside the zero support of ordinary democratic parties in Pakistan, Human Rights organizations often try to express their sorrow and vocally condemn the ongoing human rights violation and barbarism against the Baloch from the past 62 years but as the question of Baloch freedom pop up they suddenly turn into typical Pakistanis and try to fool the Baloch by presenting fresh thought of dialogue. They advice to forget all the violation done by Pakistani rulers in the constitution about nationalisms, the dissolving of assemblies and the broken promises. They still cannot guarantee the fulfillment of the fresh promises unlike the old ones. These acts force them to be viewed as killer of humanity (in Baloch eye) rather than defenders of humanity.

Islamabad could not stop the raising of entire Punjab for a Chief Justice where on the other hand despite thousands of mothers being in sorrow for their children in Balochistan, Punjab and other provinces demand Balochistan to convince them (the other provinces) so that they could come along. In a state of war where dead bodies are being carried out in shoulders, Baloch has no time to knock the doors of the pro-parliaments and pro-Pakistani units making useless debates urging them to get along. Whoever wants to support needs no urge. Those who do not want to support make excuse like ‘education first, then independence’ or ‘unity first, then struggle’ etc.

A bitter fact in this debate is that most of the so-called Pakistan’s religious units are victim of worse chauvinism, these brutal killings fail to gain attention in the eyes of the religious people. In such they forget the verses of holy Quran which state: “He who killed a person is the killer of entire humanity”.

The participation of the governments of these religious people in Balochistan which is backing the massacre of Baloch nation is shameful.

Similarly the recommenders of democracy in Pakistan can be compared by the helper who throw the rope for a drowning person saying if you make it successfully, promise to obey me the entire life!

The fact of all Pakistani ranks, organizations and even judiciaries being quite in the ongoing barbarism against Balochs is a bit difficult but in reality the answer is based on just a single sentence I.e. “The preferences of Pakistan and the inherits of Balochistan (Balochs) are entirely different”. Spending 62 years with Pakistan prove that not only their preferences are different but clashing.

Pakistan’s greedy eyes are on Baloch resources whereas Baloch sensing the evil is struggling to unchain its slavery. As the preferences of both the sides are not the same thus the question of helping the Baloch is overruled. In such circumstances Lenin’s formula which is based on goodness of intention is applicable here; ‘major nations should support the freedom of minor nations and minor nations should participate in the democratic struggles of major nations’. But here Baloch is the victim and is being ordered too. Now isn’t it the responsibility of major bodies to demonstrate honesty by accepting the Baloch struggle for independence, support them and offer Baloch for its co-operation in the changing democracy of Pakistan.

We are sure whenever the occupation on Baloch land come on its end the very next day its independence shall be supported. Therefore Baloch is proceeding without awaiting the help of such bodies and not being in any vain imagination.

7. Lack of leadership:

We have discussed the mentioned subject in detail in one of our articles ‘Baloch lack action and not leadership’ published in Daily Tawar but as a matter of fact we will have a short look on the subject. Pakistani rulers or Baloch enemies in order to spread disappointment and cause confusion among Balochs spread such rumors. These rumors are not unexpected and we shall not waste our time debating on them but when a Baloch expresses similar views we grieve and instantly know the person himself is in great confusion thinking every other person is unclear just like him because one who does not have a leader has no role in the struggle. For such people the real issue is not leader but thought. Whenever they make up their mind having a clear vision they will find people of same vision and leader as well. Such people who do not regret the fact of Balochs living in the territories of Pakistan and Iran, deny the pro-independence leaders being leaders. This is the clear difference between pro-independence and Pakistani and Iranian pro-parliament Balochs that the pro-independence never complain about absence of leadership whereas pro-parliaments usually repeat the same subject.

They (pro-parliaments) complain their leaders are unpopular in public but they also cannot suggest staying with Pakistan and Iran. Such thoughts are contemptible among Balochs and these people do not will to be called so, ending not supporting a prideful thought (pro-independence).

Such confused people are unable to answer a simple question I.e. what are their nominees for the leader of the entire struggle? They avoid nominating their pro-parliaments knowing their unpopularity among the freedom fighters and the locals, this in not because of the idiocy of their leaders but their ideas do not match the thoughts the freedom fighters are dieing for. Similarly they cannot point out the abatements in these leaders which lead their invalidity. Here too they try to argue by claiming these (pro-independence) leaders are not accepted by other Balochs but they forget that the real issue is with them selves and not the nation.

A designated and limited body in Balochs provoke the enemy propagandas in order to raise thought clash among Balochs by saying Balochs will not succeed just because they lack leadership. They cannot resist the fact that Balochs despite being very weak has weakened the economy of a nuclear power. There is a question mark on the development of every international value keeping profitable project in this country.

Baloch war for freedom has forced the trend of investment, If the nation or the struggle lack leader how come it turn Pakistan into Missilestan? Effortless people make excuse to get rid of the ongoing struggle, hence with the passage of time questions regarding success following unity in Balochs will be ineffective due to the intensity of the struggle. The support and oppose of such people will not effect the struggle.

8. Importunity of a major body on ‘surface’:
This question too is an excuse but as it pops up eventually we will discuss it in short. Before starting, let us clear this question is asked by those friends who try to make place for pro-parliaments in this national struggle. By asking this, the questioner hesitate but mean the freedom fighters should carry on their struggle in the mountains and should not oppose the pro-parliaments to join Pakistani parliament. Asking so, such people do not think for a while that the freedom fighters fighting in worse conditions avoid any coalition with these pro-parliaments whereas their sympathy and help is the most needed. On the other hand pro-parliaments claim to be the companions and political wings of the freedom fighters and sometimes they reach till a point saying our paths might differ but aim is the same. Everyone is aware that the freedom fighter in the mountains are defending the resources and coasts of Balochistan and all bodies in Baloch National Front (BNF) are raising their slogan in order to unite the people. Hundreds of their people in tortures cells, many of activists and leaders being directly target killed and thousands in prisons, despite all these the parties are continuously working for their cause. If these efforts are invisible to some, then its clear those are the people who question but never work for the cause.

In worse conditions, BNF has united the pro-independence. In the presence of BNF, the demand of another united surface alliance is dishonesty or being unaware of the present situation of Pakistan. No doubt BNF could be made more effective and motivated but to do so suggestions of other Baloch parties colliding with BNF are positive. First the suggestion maker should clear itself being a pro-independence saying good-bye to the Pakistani parliamentarian politics forever. Here we do not want to argue on what were the achievements as a nation given to us by the Pakistani parliament and what made our leaders lose their vocal senses after reaching the assemblies. In such, it is not fair to remind the leaders of the joint parties in BNF that without taking along the other Balochs (pro-parliaments) success is hard to achieve. This question should be kept forward to the other Balochs who have still not join this alliance which in real is contributing sacrifices. Why don’t the pro-independence make them ever feel that till their absence the struggle would be unsuccessful and the martyrs blood would go in vain.

In our view, the issue is not that the freedom fighters take along these people with them but the issue is to go along with the freedom fighters. They should define the reasons that keep them avoid being convinced in helping the freedom fighters.

If we analyze the other part of this question, we would find Pakistan’s undemocratic and barbaric based attitude does not allow a surface party to survive. Last year in a honored meeting with respected Sardar Khair Baksh Marri, we kept forward the particular question. He openly answered; ‘A country lacking democracy and justice, it is impossible to propitiate the demand of democratic tactics or surface party in it. What arguments will a person present in front of a thief, looter, cruel and a violent. You talk they kill, you carry out rallies they open indiscriminate fire against the innocents, you write they kill. The only answer to your questions is bullet. If talks were effective, why pick up the gun?!’

The sayings of Baba Marri are solid truth but having the spirit of sacrifice for Balochistan, men and women still bravely carry out rallies in the cities. When BNF’s 80% members are in jail or have warrants against them, those living in cities and talking about politics are not in the mood to take any effective step which could disturb the government acts. When criticized, rather then correcting their acts they accuse Baloch of disunity because accusations are easy to make but joining and working for a surface party or alliance is difficult. The meaning of ‘larger unity’ among these people and the freedom fighters differ. Pro-Pakistani parliaments talk about larger unity in sense of unity among all the Baloch parties to participate in elections and win maximum seats whereas pro-independence see the term of larger unity as the path of getting rid of the total relations with Pakistan. The basic reason of any surface party or alliance not existing (except BNF) is that a body taking maximum seats would show the world that Baloch accept the Pakistani parliamentary system and agree to do politics in the country’s boundaries. While others (pro-independence) by this unity try to show the world that they are not the only ones demanding the slogan of independence but all Baloch powers support them.

Unfortunately not only the paths of pro-parliaments and pro-independence differ but their mission differs too. Or it can be taken as both the groups are directly against each other. Parliamentary politics make the world believe that despite Baloch having internal complains against Pakistan, do not demand independence and are only against the establishment and have no problem with the state. Whereas sensing the non-parliamentary political parties or alliance, the world come to the point that Baloch is not only unhappy with its unjust division but is seeking correction of this historical mistake.

Therefore, those who think the only solution to Balochistan issue is independence, believe BNF to be a surface power and should join any party in BNF to strengthen its power. Those who think they are not satisfied by the work of any pro-parliament party, could make a decision on theory basis joining the pro-independence alliance. Then the person would realize the rapid development in this alliance and would stop complaining knowing the only missing part of this surface alliance was the person itself (who previously was a far standing spectator and now is a part of a struggle).

9. Education and development prior to the freedom demand:

Talking so, they try to paint a portrait of an important issue but going through the subject reveal these people are providing the enemy ‘the secret of ruling them’. They mean till Baloch nation is uneducated and undeveloped, the enemy could rule the nation (with our help). Whereas the enemy is well aware of this fact and on this basis is not providing education but teachings of slavery. If a slave itself address the master that it would demand freedom when educated, would the master be so foolish in providing it education?

Those who demand priority to education and development should accept the fact of not having both these things in their reach. Our nationalist Chief Minister being Education Minister could not restore the orders of Martyr Nawab Akbar Bugti regarding Balochi to be taught in schools, are not capable to serve anything more in this field. Here if not suspecting their good intentions, we could definitely come to a point that at least they are victim of helplessness and self interests. These friends talk about resources and coasts but are unable to answer a question I.e. Despite Pakistan handing over the resources and the coasts to the Baloch, still the pro-independence do not agree on any contract less than independence, Would these nationalists be along?

Referencing the historical fact of forced occupation by Pakistan, we surely think Pakistan will not provide Balochistan’s resources or coasts to Baloch. On the other side of the border Iran’s situation is the same or worse. Leave aside the resources, despite the killings and massacre causing the investors not to think about investment in this country, Pakistan is not fulfilling the demands of those Baloch parties who are willing to stay in the boundaries of Pakistan. Release of political prisoners, recoveries of the disappeared, helping the IDPs and withdrawal of military from Balochistan are such demands that are way too less important than independence, but Islamabad is not interested in fulfilling them.

Commenting on the education status in Balochistan and specially in Baloch areas, we can only say till all the authorizations in Balochistan are not handed over to Balochs, providing education here is a deceiving fact. Still today there exist Baloch areas where the district council based on the population of 40-50 thousand people, in rural areas from the past 62 years only 2 persons could clear their intermediate.

Balochistan, till today teachers once in a blue moon visit the schools to look at the walls (if exist) and there are hundreds of such schools which are only present on some papers. All the parties who have been periodically been in power due to the will of Islamabad are involved in this crime. In such when one’s neighbors are way ahead in the educational sector and their children have better educational environment, to think about competing them is compared to commit collective national suicide. At this time Baloch is a victim of worse state conspiracies and it cannot compete its neighbors in the presence of these conspiracies.

To hide their conspiracies, government and its puppets sing the same tone as the pro-parliaments. They accuse Baloch being anti-education, whereas Baloch is against the educational system and the particular trend which distance them from their thousand of year old history.

Baloch is taught the 62 year old history of Pakistan but its own thousands of year old history is never taught. An Indian intellectual once said to a Pakistani; ‘In Pakistani educational system, after the history of Mehergarh, Pakistan’s history is taught, anything happened in between is missing. They forget it or just ignore it because Pakistan had no role in it.’

Baloch is not against education but against the injustice that its language is not being taught. Baloch is against the fact that it is not authorized to have control of its educational system and others make educational policies for Baloch reserving the right of making the decision of what is good and bad for Baloch. Baloch is against the policy which does not provide the chances of its children being equal in competition with its neighbor (nations) children. Despite lacking equal facilities Baloch is dared to be afraid of competition and the opportunities are being provided to the non-Balochs stating Balochs being idiots.

Baloch is aware that its children getting education in Arab countries, European countries, America, Canada and Russia mark as brilliant students. This means Baloch children are not weak but the educational environment (in Pakistan) given to them is not appropriate for them.

As the government does not have any proof in its favor to hide these injustice and conspiracies it had committed, for its own ease it claims Baloch being anti-education whereas Baloch is not anti-education but anti educational system provided to it which teaches the lesson of slavery.

In an article ‘Baloch massacre in Karachi; Those who lost their lives in dark paths’ published recently, we had argued on less education statistics among Baloch in a city like Karachi which consist large number of major educational circles, we requested the entire nation to learn a lesson from these statistics. Baloch cannot tolerate any delay and the thought of freedom being conditioned with education is an example of worse enmity.

Despite the fact of Baloch not being provide education, any nation’s freedom cannot be conditioned to its education. In our neighboring United Arab Emirates, at the time of its independence the literacy rate was even worse than the current literacy rate in Balochistan. Even their rulers did not had the gift of education.

No nation in this world has ever been kept as slave just because it was uneducated. When Baloch enemies make such allegations anyone could figure their plan but when a Baloch itself try to make such excuse it definitely hurts.

World developed countries like America, Canada, Britain and all the European countries hire well skilled people from around the world inviting them in their countries giving them the best facilities, it is no harm in independent Balochistan to hire such people on contract basis.

In short, no independence gaining country in the world delayed its freedom movement for the sake of its education and development slogan. Nor any occupying power ever grant freedom to a nation on the basis of it becoming literate, if it was so then Basques in Spain or the Irish could have got their independence long back.

10. Demand of ‘provincial autonomy’ or ‘right of self-determination’ before independence:

Before debating on this issue, it is necessary to find out the Baloch perspective on its status with in Pakistan and Iran. Then it would be easy to come to any conclusion once knowing Baloch perspective.

The clashing government statements and looking at the real situation in Balochistan, one can easily figure out that the majority in Balochistan are pro-independence. If it was not so, the government would have never taken serious steps and would have not need to spread fear and its supporters would have not felt shame on their acts which is the proof of them being helpless in front of the pro-independence.

Despite this reality some Baloch parties talk about provincial autonomy prior to the demand of freedom and a particular party talks about ‘right of self determination’ before the demand of independence. Lets analyze both these demands in the light of ground reality.

The demand of provincial autonomy is unreal and compared to national suicide because this is exactly as the demand which Baloch has been demanding since the British rule till today. It was defined with another name (treaty) but explanation is almost the same.

Baloch nation has been fighting against the British for its internal autonomy in various areas using various names but it was never convinced to fight for its independence as one unit. All the battles between Marri vs. Bugtis, Khan Kalat vs. Kharanis, Khalil Khan vs. Jihind Khan ended up in any kind of treaty. Baloch witnessed defeat in installments collectively. Every group signed some contracts for their areas but they were unaware that by signing these treaties separately they were getting weaker and weaker.

On the basis of these treaties, Balochistan’s unjust division took place. Being divided in pieces and in result of state conspiracies, Baloch of Sindh, Punjab, Afghanistan and Iran today is not in a position to fight for its national survival. If the freedom movement in Eastern Balochistan does not succeed, no power could prevent Balochs colliding with other major nations or vanishing in about a century or so. If Baloch survive it shall only remain as a surname and if the enemy continue its policy against Baloch, the families would not keep the surname excusing a hurdle in development or to avoid ridicule of a defeated nation.

Pro-independence call the provincial autonomy and right of self-determination seekers as the biggest hurdles in their ways. If Pakistan succeed in crushing the freedom movement with the help of these Balochs, Balochistan shall not only become a province of cantonments in a few years, it would be divided into 2 provinces I.e. Balochistan and Brahuistan in order to crush its entire energy and people shall be serving in the same wages not being able to do anything. Baloch would become way weaker than it is today. Neither they will be able to gain education like the Balochs in Karachi nor they could use assemblies as their weapons in fact the state would use them as a tissue paper and throw them in the dustbin of history. It is no story but a bitter truth, as 50 years ago no one could imagine the rule of Muhajirs in Karachi, Balochistan would become the same.

Those who raise the slogan of ‘right of self-determination’ saying it is too early for the demand of independence, should first ask their own leaders clarification in the slogan of independence in the decade of 1980 A.D. or if their current slogan sounds more in favor of self interest. Their (former leaders) slogan of independence was just at that time because they reserved the right of changing it which later on end up with the term of ‘give and take’ and is still present as a black dot in the history of Baloch national politics.

In short, the demanders of ‘right of self determination’ could not join the pro-independence till they do not decide breaking up with Pakistan. In past Baloch nation has lost its everything on the very same path, today Baloch has only Balochistan to lose which Pakistan claim as its province. Balochistan is the only guarantee of Baloch national survival and if Baloch agree on anything less then their independence it would be a victim of greater divisions and be weaker. The last and the bitter fact is that if Baloch give up at this point they would never get a second try.
